The Raptors were able to rout the Cleveland Cavaliers 100-88 on Monday, improving their record to two games above .500. The win came as a team effort, with 6 players scoring in double figures. OG Anunoby led the team in points with 20, finishing a good shooting night which saw him go 8-13 from the field and 4-6 from beyond the arc.

Pascal Siakam was back in the line up after being out for the past 10 games with a strained groin. He returned looking like he hadn’t missed a second of action, tallying 18 points, 11 boards and 5 assists.  Despite an off night, point guard Fred VanVleet was able to contribute 13 points and 5 assists but could only muster up a 33 FG% .

Toronto was able to control the game almost from the tip-off, opening up a nine point lead by half time which ballooned to 19 in the second half. There wasn’t much to talk about on the Cav’s side of the ball, as only Evan Mobley and Darius Garland were able to muster double digit points, both chipping in with 18.

The Raptors shot 44 percent on the night, and 42.9 percent from three-point range. The Cavs shot at 37.8% from the field and were a horrible 18.4% from behind the arc. The Raptors also our rebounded the Cavaliers 57-52.

The victory marks the second consecutive win for Toronto after defeating the Dallas Mavericks 105-100 on the road on Saturday. The Raptors now hold the 6th seed in the NBA Eastern Conference, half a game behind the 76ers and a game up on the Atlanta Hawks.

Up next the Raptors will be hosting the New Orleans Pelicans at home on Wednesday the 30th of November. The Pelicans currently sit in the 4th seed of the West with a surprising record of 11-8. Toronto will likely be favourites but not by much, with a young Pelicans team exceeding expectations this year.
