Toronto Argonauts Release 2023 Season Schedule

The Argos officially unveiled their 2023 CFL season schedule on Tuesday, where they will be defending their title in their 150th year as a pro team. Similar to the 2022 season, the team will be starting their campaign with a bye week before kicking off at home in Week 2.

Key Matchups & Facts

The Argos will be opening at BMO Field, against their division rivals, the Hamilton Tiger-Cats. The two teams will clash four times throughout the season in weeks 2, 7, 13, and 16. The Labour Day Classic between Toronto and Hamilton will be played on September 4th in the 52nd edition. 

The Argonauts season will be closed out at home against the Ottawa Redblacks. The post season begins with the semi-final playoff games which will be played on November 4th, followed by Division Finals on November 11th. The 110th Grey Cup will be taking place on November 19th in Hamilton.

Toronto has one of the better schedules for the season with nine games on eight or more days of rest, the most in the CFL. They also have five games with seven or more days of rest which is the second most in the league.

The Argos will be playing seven games on a Friday, six on Saturdays, three on Sunday, and have two Monday night matchups in 2023.
